My new toy!

I have wanted to buy a vinyl cutter for a long time and...I finally bought one. It should be here by this Friday and I can't wait! My plan is to start selling vinyl wall art on etsy.com and hopefully I won't have to work so much and can spend more time with my little sweetheart.

Stanley Distribution

I realized that it's been a really long time since I posted any design stuff, or anything else for that matter. Justin started his own business so I have been working on his logo for the last couple of weeks...and trying to get ready for a baby which will be here in about 6 weeks! Since Justin's shop is opening January 15th he made me finalize his logo so that he can get his business cards printed, signs up, etc. Here is the final product:

We are really excited for him to start his business. His website is up at stanleydistribution.com. The business is focused around powder coating, ceramic coating, porting, AMSOIL, Fuel pump rewire kits, ect. Make sure to check out his website if you or anyone you know are interested.

Photo Restoration

When I was a little girl my dad painted a picture of a lighthouse from a puzzle box. The painting was absolutely beautiful and was truly one of his best paintings ever. Later on in life he sold the painting and it was something that we very much wanted back after his passing. We have yet to find the man it was sold to. While searching online for lighthouse pictures for a project, I came across this puzzle box picture. I knew immediately that this was the picture that my dad painted from. It needed a little help, so I gave it a quick makeover. It's still a work in progress but it's much better than the original that I found online. This is the closest thing I have to the painting my dad painted about 20 years ago and I am happy that I found it.

Yay football!

So I realized it has been forever since I last posted. I haven't designed much lately but did finish this picture for Father's day from my little brother's football team. Last year the Roy Royals won the Mini Bowl championship and I made this to commemorate the 2007 football season. I really like how it turned out!

Family!

Yesterday was Mother's day and it was very nice to spend time with my family. I had these images framed for my mom and I'm so happy with the way they turned out. These family pictures were taken last fall before my mom started chemo therapy. The pictures were taken by our good friend Dustin Izatt (digitalizatt.com) and I edited them. Happy Mother's Day!

It's done!

So I have finally finished the Space Elevator Reference logo that my graphic design studio class was elected to do. Below is my final version! Unfortunately mine wasn't picked as the overall design but I am still proud of it!

Desire Unveiled..

Ok, so it's official. At least for now.. I have been trying to decide what to call my design firm once it's open and after working on this logo for months (whew!), I have decided I might stick with it. Desire Design Studios. Has a nice ring to it right? No, really right? It's really a question. I want to know. Tell me. Hurry!
