Pumpkin Walk

Last night we headed over to the Hooper pumpkin walk. The weather was chilly but not freezing. Perfect October weather. We had fun walking around and looking at the different displays.

This one was probably my favorite. Very good!

Bella loves her grandma! But she doesn't love the bright flash of the camera. It was pitch black so I'm surprised that the pictures turned out at all..

They had free face painting for the kids (and cookies and hot chocolate!). Bella was so excited to get her face painted. They had all kinds of Halloween designs but all she wanted was a butterfly :)

Checking out the inside of the pumpkin. Silly girl. We are excited for this week! Her dance class is having a Halloween party, we are going to carve pumpkins and then... Halloween time!

Treehouse Museum

Last week my best friend Steph invited us to go to the Treehouse Museum. We hadn't gone before and I can't believe how much we were missing out on. We had a blast! We are definitely asking Santa for a family pass for Christmas.

Bella in the music room. She loved the big drums!

Bella and her buddy Jake. He is a handsome boy!

Bella got to make a "scary" Halloween mask.

Practicing sitting at the President's desk in the Oval Office.

She loved this sheep! He was animated and so cute!

Okay, so this picture shows my brave little girl on stage during a play of the Three Little Pigs. They had the kids volunteer to play the different parts and she thought she was big enough to participate. It's funny because she is still so incredibly shy but she couldn't wait until her turn to go up on the stage. That's her on the right without her hood on. She got to play one of the bunnies (it was a revised version of the 3 pigs). She just stood and looked out at the audience until she found me so she could wave. I was so proud!

learning photograpy

Last weekend I started an online beginners photography class and I love it! My only goal was to learn how to use my camera in manual mode and I feel like I've got the basics of it! There is still so much to learn but it's a start.

Yesterday we headed out and took some pictures. This probably isn't the best picture that I took but it's my favorite. It's a little overexposed but I love the super blurry background. It was SUPER sunny outside. And that was probably the only productive thing I did the whole day. :)

Oh and I should probably add that the class i am taking is SnapShop by Ashley Ann Photography. You might be familiar with her blog, Under the Sycamore. The class is a little pricy at $200 but it's been worth it for me. :)

Fall, how I love thee

I love Fall. It's for sure my favorite season. I love the weather, the colors, being able to wear a warmer clothes, and the smell of pumpkins and spice.

I can't believe it's already October, but I'm happy it's here. Speaking of things I love, have you ever tried this stuff?

These Bear Creek soups are one of my quick go-to meals. They are perfect for a nice fall dinner after playing in the leaves all day. The Cheddar Potato soup is my favorite.

My good friend shared some projects on her blog she has been working and I realized I never shared these guys..

These cute little chickens are from Wood Creations in West Haven. Basically it's all unfinished wood that you take home and finish up yourself. And I love it because it's close to our house (like nothing else) and they have the cutest stuff ever. I took a wood class a few weeks ago and if I ever get the stuff out of my trunk and put it out somewhere.. I'll take a picture for you :)

I ordered some movies off of Amazon today. Lately we have just been watching movies from Netflix but I couldn't find either of them on there.

I ordered Hocus Pocus for Halloween. Seriously my favorite Halloween movie..

And I ordered The Land Before Time for Bells.

This movie came out in 1988 when I was 6 years old and I LOVED it. I can remember watching it over and over. It's still one of my favorite movies so I'm glad to introduce it to my little one and add it to our DVD collection. On Netflix they have the trillions of sequels to this movie but not the original.

I also ordered the newly released Dr. Seuss book, The Bippolo Seed and Other Lost Stories.

Have you heard of this book? It's all stories that have never been published in a book but appeared in magazines at some point. Dr. Seuss is one of my all time favorite children's authors so I'm excited to read this book with Bella.

How was that for random? I'm off to enjoy some mommy time while someone is taking her nap!
